Brother Industries LogoThe Brother Industries was found in Japan hundred years back. In the year 1908, Kanekichi Yasui had found the Yasui Sewing Machine Co. Then in 1925, it was renamed as the Yasui Brother’s Sewing Machine Co. Company mass started producing the sewing machines and started exporting them all by the year 1947.  

By 1950s and the 1960s, company had several divisions, many name changes also branched into some other industries that included the home electric appliances, machine tools and the business machines. The printers and the typewriters soon were followed. Further, the diversification occurred moving towards the telecommunications in the 1987 and the online karaoke in the year 1992.

The Brother International Corporation is the U.S. subsidiary of the Brother Industries. It was established back in 1954. The Brother Product mix included the fax machines, printers, labellers, machine tools, garment printers, gear motors, multifunction devices, label printers, industrial sewing machines, consumer sewing machines and stamp creators.

The Brother makes various types of the printers. The several types include color laser printers, black and white printers, and the label printers. The Brother Label printers are quite often used for the printing of mailing labels at the shipping departments. Depending on model, the printers would be connected to the PC or to the network and the print labels that could be anywhere from about two to four inches wide.

The Brother Multi function products all combine with the common office equipments in the multi function center. For instance, the typical Brother Multi-Function Center device would incorporate copying, printing, faxing and scanning functions all into a single device. Several units would also include the handsets that are corded telephones so also the Ethernet or the wireless connectivity.  

The Brother has not forgotten by any chance its roots and still continues making the sewing machines. With over 100 years of the progress, the sewing machines that are available today are quite different from those original Brother models. The latest innovations in the new machines include LCD displays, digital controls, automatic needle threading, and digital controls. The embroidery sewing machines having the USB ports are very much popular these days amongst the people.

The Brother still continues being a familiar name with various products like the fax machines, sewing machines, printers and labellers that are found in businesses and at homes across the world.
